Quick summary
Working on internal projects for multinationals like Unilever, Adidas, Google and P&G involved designing for enterprise projects for different individual stakeholders like employees, teams and their client/customers. The main challenge involved in such projects was working with platforms like Sharepoint, Salesforce, Tableau, PowerBI, PowerApps etc over their constraints when involving both custom and out of the box design.
The Approach
For enterprise products I primarily advocate for having co design sessions that will bridge the domain understanding, functional requirements phase and help in designing around the constraints.
Intranet portal
I led the Digital Employee Workplace Experience program for Unilever where the main project was the design of inside.unilever - employee intranet portal. The research phase involved persona studies, understanding business and employee needs, analytics and heuristics of present portal and ideation.
The main pointers from research led to the requirements of better onboarding, quicker access, custom personalised news feed, better and effective search.
Performance/reporting dashboards
For multinational organisations like Unilever, P&G, Adidas I designed dashboards for their financial, marketing, sales etc teams and for individual roles of product managers, project owners and directors etc. Ideation workshops are the best way I have found while working for such projects
QA health dashboards - Unilever : The reports/dashboards mainly help the platform managers of Unilever to track the progress of the projects on their platforms and and be aware of the overall health and any threats arising.
Consumer Pulse insights - P&G : Dashboards primarily to track the performance of brands and products by the owners across P&G. The main challenge was to provide the information that the owners wanted to see in a by overcoming the out of the box constraints of the platform.
Enter Dashboards - Adidas : Detailed requirement gathering with the finance, sales and marketing stakeholders to design insightful dashboards and reports of sales, volumes, prices, profits, performance and other parameters.
Assessment and tracking tools
Worked on designing tools that test the performance and working of platforms, processes and projects like maturity models and acceptance criteria

Collaboration and training sites
Designed portals and applications that helped the employees connect with each other for specific projects, help them in organisational level tasks and assist in onboarding and trainings, most of these were designed on power apps
Team sites
Old teams sites had to be migrated to O365 platform. This involved designing components, templates and pages for new sites. I spent the discovery time in generalising the different team requirements, doing a need analysis and defined a strategy for using the out of the box and custom components. Worked with the layouts on needs basis to provide the final designs.
Client facing sites
I designed B2C sites like brand collaboration site which acts as bridge between creative agencies, brand managers and other clients or vendors. This one stop site provides a place for understanding, tracking , collaborating and sharing files specific to campaigns or projects.
